Rubber Flooring
Contemporary & Comfortable
Rubber flooring has become modern and stylish! If you haven't checked lately, take a good look.... you will see a huge change has taken place while you were sleeping..
Gone are the days where the only rubber flooring available was for commercial or industrial settings.

Time and technology has added a new dimension when it comes to colors and designs. It has branched out into the residential sector with a big bang!
Available in sheet and tile form, tiles are square and come in an array of sizes. Mostly, they are synthetic because natural rubber is less durable and generally not used as a flooring product.
Colors range from soft earth tones to startlingly bright shades, that don't fade or wear off!
During manufacturing the coloring process is "dyed" throughout the thickness of the rubber, not just on the top or surface layer. This is a big plus!
Adding a surface polish will give a glossy, watery effect unique only to rubber. And if you prefer a warmer look, the matte finish shows off the softness of the material.
Contemporary flooring for the modern-minded, rubber is ideal for bathroom, kitchen, utility room, child's room and anywhere you would like a contemporary look.
Even
garage flooring
has gone contemporary with colorful wall-to-wall rubber mats to cover the gray (Jay Leno's garage looks fabulous!).... think about it. What a transformation it would be!
Designs & Patterns
Rubber

Maybe it is a high-tech color and design you want for your music room, or is it a mellow-yellow feeling you are after for the family room... take your time designing your floors and you will see how cool rubber flooring looks installed!

Installation
Rubber tiles are inter-locking and relatively easy to install, but are heavier and harder to handle than
cork flooring
tile, vinyl or
linoleum flooring
tile.
Rubber floor sheets should be installed by a professional fitter unless you are experienced in this area.
Rubber tiles becomes more pliable when warm, so keeping them in a warm room at least 24 hours before installation will make the job easier.
Keep in mind all the many resources available to help you design the floors you dream of or if you get stuck making your decision. The same goes for do-it-yourself installation.
